10 Misaphonia tips

Hi peeps. I have something called Misaphonia. Misaphonia Is the hatred of noises such as smakcing whistling, gum popping hiccups and other common noises. If you have misaphonia, These tips should help.

1 music. Carry earbuds and an mp3 player fully charged. Download plenty of music and audio books.
make sure you get a lot of music since you can get sick of music quickly.

2 get a noise machine. These are too mask noises for cleaning, sleeping or relaxation. Sometimes these do cause anxiety for me cause I know the noise is still there.

3 Buy a heavy blanket. These dont block noise, But when you cuddle up with the blanket it helps with anxiety.

4 Outdoors. Every morning and evening you should Take a walk on your street. Other than the walk, Spend as much time as possible outdoors.

5 Warm baths. I love warm bathes either in the morning or night. Think about happy times in your life, and imagine a happy future

6 Magnesium. These are vitamins that help your nerves when your stressed. There is oil and vitamin forms

7 ASMR. asmr is strange at first but it gets super relaxing. Its basically a bunch of videos Where people do noises that give you relaxing tingles. There are triggers, so look at the title of the videos first as many will say the noises they will make.

8 Friends. Have a good social life to distract you from stress, If the friend makes fun or trys to bug you with noises on purpose, tell them that it gives you high blood pressure and makes you want to punch them with a brick. Just joking, Just tell them that its serious and not a joke, If they are really your friends,  they will get it.

9 Yoga. Yoga helps with stress and anxiety.

10 Sleep. Get a healthy 9-8 hours of sleep per night. It helps make you less foggy and frustrated.
